ABOUT LISA

Lisa+Kindred+Speech+Therapy.jpeg

I am a traveling speech language pathologist that provides therapy in your home environment. With more than 35 years of experience working in a school setting, I founded Kindred Connections as a part-time private practice that provides therapy in a home environment for preschool and school-aged children. Children are engaged through motivating and fun activities while building and enriching their communication skills.

I can help continue your child’s progress toward his or her goals before returning to school in the fall. For little ones not yet in school, Kindred Connections can help build their speech-language skills to help them understand and communicate more in other settings. I’m excited to share my strong desire to work with children and build their communication skills through fun and motivating activities in your home or child's daycare center.

Was your child recently assessed through the school district and did not meet eligibility criteria to receive services under the category of Speech and Language Impairment, but you're still concerned?  Schools are required to follow the eligibility requirements put in place by the state of MN.  However, a private practice such as Kindred Connections is not required to follow these same requirements.  Contact me and let's chat about what your child may need to strengthen his or her speech and or language skills!

WHAT I LIKE BEST ABOUT BEING A
SPEECH PATHOLOGIST

I’m a kid at heart and love working with children and their families. It’s witnessing that “aha” moment when the child realizes his or her communication skills have improved, along with their confidence, so much that they say, “I can do this. Don’t tell me.”
